Food and Beverage Regulations
All food and beverage items served in CURRENTS ballroom must be prepared and presented by ARAMARK. ARAMARK, as a licensee, is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with the state of New Jersey liquor control board. All beer, wine, and liquor must be supplied and served by ARAMARK.

Event Planning
CURRENTS Catering Service Agreement outlines specific agreements between the customer and the caterer.The signed Catering Service Agreement, along with the required deposits, must be received no less than 60 days in advance of the first scheduled service.

If the signed Catering Service Agreement is received less than 60 days prior to the first scheduled service, prices are subject to change.

To ensure proper planning of your event, we kindly request that all food and beverage specifications be received in writing by our office no later than 45 days prior to the date of your first service.

Upon receipt of all written food and beverage specifications, your CURRENTS Sales Professional will review them and in turn, provide a written confirmation of services ordered. An Event Order will be issued for each individual service. Signed Event Orders must be received by CURRENTS no less than 30 days prior to the first service. New customers booking short-term events (within 30 days of first service) must review, sign and Event Orders upon receipt.

Payment Policy
CURRENTS requires full payment (100%) of total estimated charges in advance of the first scheduled service as specified in the Catering Services Agreement. Acceptable forms of payment Company check, American Express,Visa, MasterCard are considered acceptable forms of payment. If the customer prefers to pay by company check, a credit card on file is required.

Service Charge and Sales Tax
• Food & hosted beverage items are subject to 20% service charge and 7% sales tax
• Equipment rentals are subject to 7% sales tax
• Labor fees are subject to 7% sales tax
• Service charge is taxable in the state of New Jersey
• Tax exempt certificates must be on file with the contract
• Service charge and sales tax are subject to change without notice

Guarantees
To ensure the success of your event, CURRENTS must receive your “final guarantee” (confirmed attendance) for each event according to the following schedule:

• Attendance up to 500 guests – three (3) business days prior to your event
• Attendance between 501-2500 guests – five (5) business days prior to your event Once the guarantee is submitted in compliance with the appropriate schedule, the guest count may not be decreased. CURRENTS will bill the customer based on the guest count at the door or actual number of meals served, whichever is greater. CURRENTS will make every attempt to accommodate increases in your count once the final guarantee has been submitted, however, any increase exceeding the final guarantee will incur a 10% surcharge.

Cancellation
Cancellation of any event must be submitted in writing to your CURRENTS Sales Professional. Cancellations received less than 60 days prior to the first scheduled service will result in a fee equal to 25% of estimated food and beverage charges. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the first scheduled service will result in a fee equal to 50% of the estimated food and beverage charges. Cancellations received after the final guarantee is due, will result in a fee equal to 100% of the estimated food and beverage charges.

Please ask your CURRENTS Sales Professional for food and beverage minimums.

Table Standards
CURRENTS standard meal service is planned for round tables of ten (10) guests with a ratio of one (1) server per 15 guests. An additional labor charge will be applied for any service that requires tables that seat less than ten (10) guests. The charge assessed will be according to the additional wait staff required to service the event at $35 per hour per wait staff, with a minimum of four (4) hours of service.

Upgrades
All tables are dressed with white floor-length linens. Your CURRENTS Sales Professional can assist you in enhancing your event options from specialty linens to florals and decor.
